The Secret to Success in Weight Loss

Everyone who is serious about weight loss would of seen the most popular diets and thought hey if it works for them it will work for me. The initial results will be true but if you have not changed the way you view weight then come a few months after your weight loss plan you will slip back into old ways and the weight will appear again.

The secret to success in weight loss is mindset and habits. If you can go into a weight loss program with the correct head space and mindset you will find you make a lifestyle change not just a semi permanent shift. Most people who struggle with weight loss are people who have always struggled with it. this is because we get caught up in old patterns and mindset around weight. We leave our selves open to fail because we have not changed the one thing that will create sustainability, yes the way you think about weight loss or even weight for that matter.

What does weight mean to you? Something that is holding you back in areas of your life, something that makes you look bad or even is ruining your relationship. Until you get to the essence of what weight means to you it is hard to create a real drive to do something about it and to make a change for good. Once you have looked at weight, have a look at your thoughts about weight loss. A first thought could be "it is hard work", "it is never going to happen" or my favorite "I am actually not that overweight, she is heavier". All these thoughts are holding you back from your true potential of succeeding, you are out to fail before you even put your running shoes on.

The second most powerful tool is habit, when wanting to reach your ideal weight. You need to create healthy and realistic habits. Once a habit is in place you will be in a trance when it comes to exercise it will be second nature. Any habit you create for yourself will become an everyday task not a chore. We have so many habits already, they just are not that helpful.

Remember good habits and a clear mindset, your halfway there already.
